Hungarian guests welcomed in Hanoi

(VOV) - Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Nguyen Sinh Hung on January 8 received a delegation from the State Audit Office of Hungary led by President Laszlo Domokos.

The NA chief legislator said the visit will help promote the cooperative relationship between the two State Audit Offices, adding that Vietnam always pay special attention to building and completing legal frameworks for auditing activities.

The Vietnamese NA supports the cooperation between the State Audit Office of Vietnam and international partners, including Hungary, he added.

Domokos briefed Hung on the outcomes of a joint working session between the two auditing agencies.

Earlier on the same day, the two auditing agencies signed a new cooperation agreement on anti-corruption and audit training.

The same day, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Huynh Dam hosted a reception for a delegation from the Hungarian Government led by Pál Kovács, Minister of State for Climate Change and Energy (Ministry of National Development).

Dam expressed his hope that the guests will continue to contribute to developing traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary, especially in the areas of energy and climate change.

The VFF President thanked the delegation for sharing its valuable experience in encouraging local support for the construction of a nuclear power plant.

For his part, the Hungarian Minister of State said his country is willing to support Vietnam in atomic energy.
