General Thanh attends China-ASEAN Informal Defence Ministerial Meeting
(VOV) - A high-ranking defence ministry delegation led by Minister, General Phung Quang Thanh left Hanoi for Beijing on October 14 to attend the China-ASEAN Informal Defence Ministerial Meeting and Shengshan Forum from October 14-18.
The attendance was made at the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of Defence.
The delegation was accompanied by Director of the Institute for Defence Strategy, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duc Hai, Chief of the Defence Ministry Office, Lieutenant General Vu Van Hien, Head of the Foreign Relations Department, Vu Chien Thang, Assistant to Defence Minister, Major General Ngo Quang Lien and Director of Institute for Defence International Relations, Major General Vu Tien Trong.
The meeting will focus on the subject of enhancing defense and security cooperation to build a China-ASEAN shared community.
