Deputy PM welcomes Cambodian guests
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received Lim Chhay, Under Secretary of State for Cambodian Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation in Hanoi on October 24.
Lim Chhay, head of a delegation of 10 Cambodians who assisted volunteer Vietnamese soldiers in Cambodia, said he hopes both nations will increase public awareness of the traditional bilateral friendship and solidarity, especially among the youth, to help foster close sentiments between the two peoples.
Phuc affirmed that thanks to mutual solidarity, the two peoples have won great victories during their national liberation in the past and national construction and development at present.
He described the Vietnam-Cambodia traditional friendship as an invaluable asset of the two nations and a decisive factor behind the success of each country’s revolution.
The same day, the delegation met with Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and specialists who once worked in Cambodia at a friendship exchange.
They said that the time-honoured traditional friendship and close sentiments between the two peoples will help further promote the two countries’ solidarity.
