At the event taking place at the Defence Ministry’s headquarters, Senior Lieutenant General Vinh appreciated efforts by Manabu Ozawa while serving as Japan’s military attaché to Vietnam over the past years.

He noted that the outgoing diplomat contributed to the increasingly substantive and effective defence cooperation between the two countries.

He told Manabu Ozawa and his successor, Keitaro Shido, that he hopes defence ties between Vietnam and Japan will enjoy more progress in the years ahead, particularly in marine security, war consequences settlement, and experience sharing in implementing United Nations peacekeeping operations.
