Congratulation on 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a message of congratulation to his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China (1997-2017).
The PM praised the significance of the event and Hong Kong's major social economic development progress over the past 20 years, reflecting the correct policy of "One Country, Two Systems".
He said Vietnam respects friendship neighborliness and comprehensive cooperation with China, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for peace, cooperation and development.
He affirmed Vietnam's willingness to work with China to effectively implement the common perception of senior leaders of the two countries as a contribution to strengthening political trust and boosting the development of the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, making it deeper for peace, cooperation and development of the region and the world.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh extended a congratulatory message to Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor.
