Chinese Security Minister visits Vietnam

(VOV) -Chinese Minister of State Security Geng Huichang is visiting Vietnam at the invitation of Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang.
During talks on October 19, Minister Quang described he visit as an important milestone in cooperation between the two ministries, contributing to the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
The two ministries have consulted each other on ways to cope with new threats and challenges to national security and interests.
The Chinese Minister congratulated the Vietnam People’s Police on its major achievements over the last 70 years.
Meeting with PM Nguyen Tan Dung on the same day, Minister Geng informed about the results of his talks with Public Security Minister Tran Dai Quang, including closer cooperation in cyber security, personnel training and expert exchange.
The cabinet leader hailed the two ministries for having contributed to overall progress of collaboration and friendship between the two nations and affirmed the Vietnamese Government’s support for stronger cooperation , suggesting both sides strengthen mutual trust and delegation and information exchanges to combat cybercrime and terrorism.
