Both ministries were advised to impel their Governments to accelerate the negotiation of several agreements including extradition and prisoner transfer treaties.

Minister Quang briefed his guest on the previous cooperation plan’s outcomes in regards to ensuring national security, social order, and safety in 2012. He highlighted the two sides’ strengthened coordination and information and experience exchanges, as well as their mutual efforts against transnational crime and drug trafficking.

Quang said number of signed cooperation agreements between the two countries were also implemented effectively, including the amended bilateral agreement to prevent human trafficking, expanded cooperation in personnel training, and support facility construction in border provinces.

Sar Kheng hailed the ministries’ combined achievements in recent years as a sound base on which to broaden future collaboration.
