Ambassador presents credentials to San Marino leaders
(VOV) - Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of San Marino Nguyen Hoang Long presented his credentials to the Captains Regent (heads of state) Teodoro Lonfernini and Denise Bronzetti on October 17.
Vietnam has actively joined global efforts in boosting disarmament, combating climate change, and reducing poverty, she said.
She expressed admiration for the Southeast Asian nation’s struggle for national independence, friendship with other countries across the globe, and especially the achievements it has gained during the Renewal (Doi Moi) process.
Mularoni said she hopes both countries will strengthen their relationship and cooperation in the future, stressing the signing of an agreement on double-taxation avoidance will lay a firm foundation for trade and investment exchange between San Marino and Vietnam.
For his part, Long, who is also Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy, expressed thanks for the San Marino government’s and people’s sentiments and assistance to Vietnam over the years.
He reaffirmed Vietnam’s policy of promoting bilateral cooperation for mutual benefit, especially in economics, trade, tourism, training, culture, science, and people-to-people relations. He proposed both nations work closely together in multilateral and international forums.
Long also took the opportunity to convey the best wishes of President Truong Tan Sang to the Captains Regent and pledged to spare no effort to consolidate ties between the two countries.
