Algerian President hopes to foster relations with Vietnam

Vietnam and Algeria should promote bilateral cooperation, especially in economy, Algerian President Abdelkader Bensalah told Vietnamese Ambassador to the country Pham Quoc Tru on May 16.

Welcoming the newly-accredited ambassador, Bensalah said he hopes the diplomat will have positive contributions to the two countries’ relations.

He agreed on the necessity to increase delegation exchanges, perfect the legal framework to facilitate bilateral collaboration, and enhance coordination and mutual support at international forums.

Tru, who came to present his credentials to the President, affirmed that Vietnam always treasures and wishes to strengthen its traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Algeria.

He pledged to do his utmost to contribute to the Vietnam-Algeria friendship and cooperation in the time ahead.
