Imported French cuttings planted in Da Lat will be harvested in June for the first time, according to the Da Lat Grapes joint venture company.

About 50,000 vines from six species are expected to yield twice a year.

The first harvest from the company’s 15ha vineyard, from June to August, is expected to yield about 15 tonnes per ha and the second harvest to yield 18 tonnes per ha. Following harvests are expected to increase to 30 tonnes per ha.

The vineyard partnership is between the Da Lat Beverage Joint-Stock Company and the Dela Cote Company from Veucline, France.
