As part of the programme, young Vietnamese and Lao volunteers have conducted a number of activities in a district close to Vientiane, including providing local people with medical examination and treatment and helping them in sanitary works.

Young Hanoian volunteers also visited and presented gifts to the Nguyen Du School, founded by the Society of Vietnamese Nationals in Vientiane, where children of both countries are being taught the Vietnamese language.
