Young football talent selected for training in Qatar
(VOV) -13-year-old player Nguyen Hong Son from the Promotion Fund for Vietnamese Football Talents (PVF) has been selected by Serbian coach Bora Milutinovic to train in Qatar’s Sports Aspire, one of the most famous football academies worldwide.
Son has successfully surpassed 29 other opponents in a three-day test at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City.
He will arrive to Qatar in 2014 and join a one-month training session at the academy before competing with other opponents from around the globe.
The remaining 29 players have received the academy’s certificates for having overcome 30,000 contestants to attend the final round in Vietnam.
Aspire’s 2013 Football Dream programme has been launched in Vietnam since last April to select young talents for comprehensive training by Barcelona FC’s trainers.
Last year Thai Sung, who is currently playing for Danang FC, was chosen.
