The Vietnam National Corporation for the Export and Import of Books, Periodicals and other Cultural Commodities (XUNHASABA) said it has presented a wide range of publications from different publishers with a focus on Vietnam’s culture, tourism and laws.
This is the first time China has joined the book exhibition as an honoured guest.
The exhibition provides a good chance for visitors to meet with a number of well-known Russian writers and to join major seminars on book trading and publication.
First Russian Deputy Prime Minister said at the exhibition that books remain a valuable source of knowledge despite a boom in information and media facilities. Such a book exhibition should be held regularly to highlight the role of books in society.
Organizers hope that this year’s exhibition will attract around 300 visitors to see new publications in 200 pavilions.
The Moscow International Book Exhibition and Fair was first held in 1997.
