A Vietnamese trade and service company will complete the installation of the world longest telpherage over Vinpearl resort in central Khanh Hoa province before the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet).

The 3,310-m telpherage with 65 cabins is designed to be capable of carrying 1,500 tourists per hour from Nha Trang to Hon Tre island and vice versa. Travellers will have a chance to view the whole Gulf of Nha Trang from the altitude of 60m above sea level.

All transport facilities have been imported from France’s company Poma.

At first, construction work faced a lot of difficulties due to adverse weather and difficult terrain. However, workers and engineers have already finished building pillars for the telpherage. They are now busy installing the remaining cables and cabins.

The telpherage will be run on a trial basis before it is officially inaugurated during the coming Tet holiday. Many new services will also be launched to attract more tourists to the coastal city.
