The Vietnamese volleyball team defeated one of their toughest rivals, the Republic of Korea, 3-2 in the quarter finals of the 2012 Asian Women's Volleyball Championships.

They got off to a promising start and battled fiercely but ended up losing the first set.
The team fought back and narrowly beat their opponents 25-23 in the second set. They lost 14-25 in the third, but recovered to win 25-22 in the fourth.
They then continued their stellar performance to finish the decisive set on top, 15-11.
This is the first time a Vietnamese volleyball team has reached the semi-finals in an Asian competition which will see them play Thailand in their next match.
