A ceremony was held in Hanoi on January 17 to award one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and 10 consolation prizes to the winners who have vividly and faithfully reflect the great achievements of the working class in the new era and highlight the intelligence, strength and renovation of the Vietnam Trade Union in the integration process.
The eight-month long contest attracted 1,086 entries, including 463 from Hung Yen federation of labour, 200 from Nghe An federation of labour and 115 from Ho Chi Minh City federation of labour.
VGCL Vice President Hoang Ngoc Thanh, who is also head of the contest’s organising board, said that through their paintings, the artists had expressed the strong determination of members of the VGCL in implementing role-model movements and professionalism.
