A special prize went to Le Khanh Ha, 11, from Hanoi’s Nguyen Truong To Junior Secondary School. Two other schoolchildren won A prizes, five won B prizes, ten won C prizes, and 22 consolation prizes.
Starting from August 2005, the contest had drawn the participation of nearly 1,000 children aged 7-14.
Addressing the ceremony, First Counsellor and head of the EU Mission’s Committee for Development Co-operation Willy Vandenderghe said that he was deeply moved by the children’s eager participation in the contest. Nearly 1,000 entries sent in by children nationwide showed not only the contest’s success, but also the role and growing understanding of the bilateral relations between the EU and Vietnam.
