19-year old Vu Lan Phuong from the southern Soc Trang province was crowned Miss Southern Mekong at the South Mekong beauty contest, which concluded on May 1.
First runner-up was Vo Thi Le Thu from southern Kien Giang province and second runner-up was Nguyen Ngoc Minh from Soc Trang province.
The final round selected nine contestants from more than 100 entries from Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Vinh Long, Ben Tre and Soc Trang provinces. Nine contestants will attend the Mekong Beauty Contest in the near future.
