Present at the conference were VOV director general Vu Van Hien and his deputies Dao Duy Hua, Hoang Minh Nguyen, Doan Viet Trung, representatives of VOV editorial boards, foreign experts participating in modern programmes production from Song Xuan Co, Ltd and reporters in Hanoi.
VOV Director General Vu Van Hien said following the successful renovation of the News and Current Affairs channel, VOV will continue to renovate the VOV3 channel from September 20 to modernise its broadcasts in different channels for different target audiences.
VOV3 is designed to keep them updated with modern music information while preserving the traditional values of Vietnamese music. To achieve the goal, VOV has combined the application of the advanced broadcasting technologies with the installation of modern equipment thanks to the assistance of foreign music experts.
VOV3 or Xone FM will broadcast 10 hours per day from 6a.m to 9a.m and from 16pm to 23pm with international music accounting for 30 percent and Vietnamese music about 60 percent of the total airtime.

An expert in Song Xuan Co, Ltd, Roberta Graham highlighted the renovation of VOV3 channel as well as the improvement of VOV staff’s professional skills. He said his colleagues and he will do their best to improve the quality of VOV3 programmes. He said “For young generation, music is life and a concomitant for them at any time in any where. From their mobile phone, Vietnamese young people can listen to Xone FM programmes wherever they are (for example in a car, in the street or on the internet).
