Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) on November 1 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in disseminating information about the national trademark programme.
Signatories to the MoU were Dao Duy Hua, VOV Deputy General Director, and Do Thang Hai, Head of the Trade Promotion Department under MoIT.
The aim of the programme is to build an image of Vietnam - a country which has high reputation in producing high quality and diversified goods and services to improve competitive capacity in both local and international markets. Especially, the programme will also help attract foreign investment and promote tourism development in the country.
Mr Hai said the national trademark programme is totally different from other trademark programmes as it is a unique Government programme aimed at promoting the country’s image through its trademarks. He added that the state will cooperate with enterprises to set up action plans to improve the competitive edge for selected trademarks with three criteria: Quality, Innovation and Leadership Capacity.
