Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the north-central province of Thanh Hoa on December 19 inaugurated a radio and television transmission station to serve local people living in the western part of the province and adjacent areas.
The building of infrastructure facilities such as roads, power and water supply systems, functional rooms for radio and television production and two 5KW TV transmitters under a two-year project cost VND30 billion from the provincial and State budget. VOV invested in two 5KW FM transmitters, a 90-m antenna and other equipment.
Located in the area 600m above sea level, the station, which has an 80-km coverage diameter, will relay News and Current Affairs programmes from VOV1 and other broadcasts in Dao, H’Mong and Thai ethnic languages from VOV4 as well as Music, Information and Entertainment programmes from VOV3 and two TV channels.
