Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) on March 7 officially broadcast programmes from its 5-KW transmitting station in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong to improve the cultural and spiritual lives of local people.
Dak Nong is a newly established province split from Dak Lak province. Due to socio-economic difficulties, mass media has not yet met the requirements for cultural enjoyment of the local people. To disseminate Party and State policies and guidelines and improve cultural activities there, VOV installed a 5-KW transmitting station in Gia Nghia town, Dak Nong province, and is broadcasting programmes on frequencies of 101.5 and 96.6MHz.
