Two of Vietnam’s young volleyball teams will test their skills at international competitions next month.

The U18 women’s team will take part in the 16th Asian Junior Women’s Volleyball Championship in Thailand on October 1-9.

There are 17 teams divided into four groups. Group A contains the hosts, Iran, New Zealand, Turkmenistan and Kuwait.

Vietnam joins Group B alongside No 1 seed and defending champions China, Mongolia and India.

Group C includes No 2 seed the Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka. And Group D comprises of No 3 seed Japan, Chinese Taipei, Australia and Malaysia.

From October 12-20, Vietnam’s U16 squad will compete against 13 other teams at the Asian Youth Girls’ Volleyball Championship in China.

Vietnam shares Group A with China, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
