Vietnam’s music awards 2010 will be presented to winners in three categories, including vocal music, instrumental music and music research, announced the Vietnam Musicians’ Association.
Among the prizes, there is one Special prize for a book collection entitled “1,000 years of Thang Long-Hanoi” by a group of authors.
It includes five volumes: court music, Ca Tru (ceremonial singing), traditional music, modern music, and music research. All of them tell stories of 1,000-year-old of Thang Long-Hanoi through different stypes of music.
This is a valuable asset of traditional music and court music in the Ly, Tran, Le and Nguyen dynasties, hightlighting the capital’s cultural values.
The awards ceremony will be held on January 11 at VOV theatre, 58 Quan Su Street, Hanoi.
