The “Living in Fear” film by Vietnamese director Bui Thac Chuyen was screened in New York and Connecticut from March 27-29.
Set in 1975 just after Vietnam’s national re-unification, “Living in Fear” portrays the lives of Vietnamese people who survived the Vietnam War and were left to make a living in their devastated land.
The film won the Asian New Talent Prize at the Shanghai International Film Festival 2006, as well as the Grand Prize of Jury at the Asia-Pacific International Film Festival 2006.
