The hip-hop dance play entitled ‘Faces’ will be performed in France and Germany to feature a dynamic, open and modern Vietnam with a rich cultural life imbued with traditional values.

The well-known dance play made its debut in 2008 under a cooperation programme between the Goethe Institute in Vietnam and the French Cultural Centre L’Espace based in Hanoi.

During the entire performance, dancers wear masks to imply questions of modern society.

This year, German choreographer Raphael Hillebrand and his French colleague Sebastien will have nine dancers and musicians from Hanoi acting in the play.

The artists will perform at Tuoi Tre (Youth) Theatre in Hanoi on February 25 and at Ben Thanh Theatre in Ho Chi Minh city on February 27 before travelling to France and Germany.

Invitations to the performances in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city are available at the Hanoi Goethe Institute (56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc) and the HCM City Goethe Institute (House 18, Do Thanh quarters) at 2pm on February 21.
