On September 20, Vietnam’s traditional water puppetry show was held for the first time on a lake in Grona Lund (Stockholm).

Water puppetry is a special form of art that only exist in Vietnam and originates from the wet rice civilisation of the Red River Mekong delta under the Ly dynasty.

It includes colourful puppets, which can move very fast due to flexible control of puppetry artists.

The first water puppetry performance in Sweden was given by the Thang Long Water Puppetry Theatre’s artists, who have conducted many performance tours to different areas around the world.

The performance tour was sponsored by Altimo, an international telecom investor.
