Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea (RoK) Vu Trong Toan  said this year’s festival, is aimed at celebrating the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the RoK and marking the Vietnam-RoK Friendship Year 2012.

The event is organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Vietnamese embassy in the RoK and the RoK Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

It is estimated that there are as many as 116,000 Vietnamese in the Rok and 130.000 Koreans in Vietnam who are making great contributions to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
