Vietnamese writer Le Minh Khue has won an international literature prize and will arrive in the Republic of Korea (RoK) to receive the prize worth US$10,000 on April 25, 2008, according to the International Literature Prize Council.

Mr Khue was awarded with his collection of short stories, The Stars, the Earth, the River, published by the Curbstone Press in the US.

This is an international literature prize named after a RoK writer Byeoong Ju Lee.

The Byeong-ju Lee prize was established since the Hadong International Literature Festival. Only one writer is considered for the prize each year with their nominating artworks printed in English.
