Hong won the Mrs Congeniality title at Mrs World 2005 and sat on the jury at Mrs World 2008. She was a member of the organizing board of Mrs World 2009, which took place in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau .

Hong said she will try her best to introduce the images of Vietnam and its people to Americans and the world.
