Le Thanh Binh, a Vietnamese student, has won a bronze medal in the Sydney Classical Guitar Open competition in Australia.

He is now in his third-year at the Australian International Conservatory of Music.

The annual event is held in August for exceptional students from the age of 18 or above who study at arts schools in Australia.

At the competition, Binh performed two pieces of work, including Serenade by Schubert/Liszt/Mertz and Va La Muerte Del Angel by Astor Piazzolla/Leo Brouwer.

His performance was praised by the jury, including musician Janet Agostino and two other musicians from the Sydney Guitar Trio.
