The competition drew hundreds of models from China, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Sng Ngoi May, Executive Director of Orchard 290 Ltd. and Chairwoman of Asian Model Search 2011 said that she was impressed by the Vietnamese model and her company plans to promote Lan’s image in Singapore and other countries in the region.

Although she was only runner-up in the Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2011 contest, Lan a made deep impression on both viewers and fashion experts. She was nominated by Her World Vietnam magazine to attend the competition.

Lan said she will send part of her S$10,000 cash prize to the Japanese earthquake and tsunami victims and the Thi Nghe centre for disabled children and orphans.
