During the exchange, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Phu Binh briefed them on the development of Vietnam - Japan relations over the past 35 years. He said Japan is the world’s second largest economy and the Japanese people are determined to overcome all difficulties to build a prosperous, modern and civilised country.

Mr Binh expressed his hope that the visit will help Vietnamese students gain a better understanding of Japan, its land and people as well as its cultural tradition.

The Japanese International Human Resources Development Corporation for the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (IMM), which sponsored the visit has made significant contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
