The song was chosen to convey a sense of the Vietnamese land and its people, Vietnamese students took great pride in performing the song, according to Pham Ngoc An, student at Foreign Language facility.

Also as part of the festival, Vietnamese students decorated the country’s exhibition space on the theme of “Vietnam-a hidden charm”, introducing international students and teachers to some characteristic dishes from Northern, Central and Southern Vietnam.

The Pushkin State Russian Language Institute is the principle national centre for teaching Russian as a foreign language. Every year thousands of students come from over 60 countries all over the world to study there. Currently, the Institute receives 30 Vietnamese students for training each year.
