Twenty colourful oil paintings by artist Le Thanh Son are on display at a five-day exhibition that opened in Tokyo, Japan, on April 13.
The exhibition, entitled “A brilliant life”, brings to Japanese art lovers the beautiful landscapes in Vietnam’s countryside and the life of ethnic people in the country’s mountainous regions.
Proceeds from the sale of paintings at the exhibition will be donated to charitable activities such as the Tokyo English Lifeline, Second Harvest Japan, Hands on Tokyo and Room to Read.
This is the first time Son has exhibited his paintings in Japan, however, the Vietnamese artist had his paintings displayed in Dubai last year and in London in 2006.
