A painting exhibition of Vietnamese painter Tran Trung Tin organized by the Asian House opened in London on April 12.

The exhibition showcased oil paintings featuring a glorious and heroic period of Vietnamese people during the resistance war against the US from 1965 to 1975. Images of mothers, female soldiers carrying guns and flowers, collapsed houses and love affairs during the wartime brought both joy and sadness to visitors.

This is the second time painter Tran Trung Tin has exhibited his paintings in the UK. The first one was held in 2002. His oil paintings have been also showcased at exhibitions in Hong Kong, Singapore, the US, the Netherlands and France.

The exhibition will run until June 23.
