The novel “Canh Dong Bat Tan” (The Endless Fields) has been translated into Korean and published in the Republic of Korea (RoK) by the Asia Publishers with 3,000 copies in the first edition.

The work by young writer Nguyen Ngoc Tu, which won the Vietnam Writers' Association award in 2006, was translated by Ha Jae-hong, a post graduate student of Vietnamese literature at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Science and Humanities.

According to Seo Jae-young from the Asia Publishers, feedback from readers said the novel helped them understand more about Vietnam and made them want to visit the country.

Several Vietnamese works of literature have been introduced in the RoK, including “Ao Trang” (The White Dress) in the 1970s by Nguyen Van Bong, “Noi Dau Chien Tranh” (The Sorrows of War) by Bao Ninh and “Neu Anh Van Con Song” (If You are Still Alive) by Van Le in the late 1990s.
