The Asia Cultural Cooperation Forum is an event of great significance for cooperation within culture and cultural industries, said Minister of Culture and Information Le Doan Hop on November 9.

The ministerial forum in Hong Kong presents an opportunity for participants to discuss contemporary and traditional development of arts and culture in each Asian nation and territory affected by modernisation, globalisation and international integration, the minister further said at the forum.

He stressed that Vietnam, like other members in the international community, fully supports, respects and upholds cultural and artistic diversity.

During the five-day forum, more than 100 cultural leaders, experts and scholars from 18 countries and territories will focus on issues such as cultural ecologies, the measurement of creativity, creative education, media arts and modernity of Asian culture and art.
