He will be sharing the stage with singer Tung Duong and an archestra including To Rung (bamboo xylophone) artist Van Anh, violinist Khac Quan and saxophonist Hong Kien.
Le, born in Paris in 1959, started playing the guitar at the age of 16. In 1983 he set up a band named Ultramarine, whose DE release won a 1989 best world music award.
His “Tales from Vietnam” album, a result of cooperating with singer Huong Thanh, released in 1996, received great applause from audiences, winning an array of French prizes including the Diapason d’Or Choc du Monde de la Musique and the Choc de I’annee Jazzman.
Apart from guitar, Le can also play the drums, electronic guitar and Vietnamese traditional instruments comprising of 16 chord zither and monochord.
This is the second time that Le has performed on a Vietnamese stage after displaying under invitation of the French Embassy on a precious occasion in 2004.
