The beauty pageant, which was attended by the Vietnamese ambassador to UNESCO, Van Nghia Dung, Vietnamese Minister Counsellor in France, Cao Chinh Thien, and President of the Vietnamese organisation in France, Vo Si Dan, aims to honour the beauty and intelligence of Vietnamese female students studying in this country.

Le Phuong Nhung bagged the first runner-up title, while the second runner-up was Ha Mai Anh. The organising board also awarded the Miss Photo and Miss Ao Dai titles to Huynh Tu Vi and Nguyen Dieu Ly, respectively.

On this occasion, the Association of Vietnamese students in France (UEVF) presented an “intellectual prize” to five outstanding students who excelled in their studies in the 2007 - 2008 academic year.

Contestants were also treated to a photo exhibition and had the opportunity to enjoy performances by Vietnamese singers, such as Kasim Hoang Vu, Luu Huong Giang, Duc Tuan, and meet Miss Vietnam 2006, Mai Phuong Thuy.
