Vietnamese and French artists jointly held a painting and photo exhibition in Paris on May 16, displaying nearly 80 paintings and photos.

The exhibition is part of a cooperation programme between the Hanoi Fine Arts Association and the Belleville Artists’ Society.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Vu Duc Tam spoke highly of the initiative, saying that the event will not only create an opportunity for artists of the two countries but also provide French art lovers an insight about Vietnam’s painting art.

President of the Belleville Artists’ Association Mirella Rosner expressed hope that similar exhibitions will be held in both France and Vietnam in the near future.

The exhibition will run until May 26.
