Twenty Vietnamese films, including Bui Hong (Rose Bush) directed by Chau Que, Xuong Rong Den (Black Cactus) by Le Dan and Thoi Xa Vang (A Distant Past) by Ho Quang Minh were screened at 41 showings, giving Japanese viewers more insight into Vietnamese culture.

Currently 30 Vietnamese cinematographic works are being kept at the Japanese Film Archives, including Chuyen Cua Pao (Pao’s story) by Ngo Quang Hai and Song Trong So Hai (Living in fear) by Bui Thac Chuyen.
