A week-long Vietnamese films festival opened in Warsaw, Poland on March 27 to provide Polish cinema goers with a chance to discover Vietnam’s history and cultural identities.

The films include Nga ba Dong Loc (Dong Loc Three-way Crossroads), Cuoc xe dem (Night Trip), Nhung co gai chan dai (Leggy Girls), which have won international prizes, and some documentaries and cartoons.

High on the agenda of the event will be films by overseas Vietnamese directors, such as Me Thao, thoi vang bong (Glorious Time in Me Thao Hamlet), and Vuot song (Journey From The Fall), and those shot by directors from Israel and Poland.

The festival will also give local visitors a deeper insight into Vietnam through exchanges between Vietnamese directors and film producers, and Vietnamese nationals living in Poland.

The event is organized by the Arteria Fund of Polish artists with assistance from media agencies of the host country.
