This is the first Vietnamese film production funded by a private business to compete for the People’s Choice Award in the Contemporary World Cinemas category at the festival.

Based on the Greek mythology, “Lay Chong Nguoi Ta” tells about the miserable life of a young couple Lua and Khanh living in the Nam Bo waterway-crisscrossed area.

The film, which is now officially listed on the website of Toronto Film Festival, will be premiered in Vietnam on September 21.
