The Vietnamese encyclopedic dictionary, comprising four volumes, has been introduced to readers.

The full encyclopedia contains 40,000 categories featuring cultural, scientific and technological spectrums of Vietnam. It also reserves space for cultural, scientific and technological terminologies used in the world.

Professor Ha Hoc Trac, chairman of the National Council in charge of compiling the encyclopedia, said around 1,200 leading scientists and thousands of coordinators have taken part in compiling the country’s first and largest encyclopedic dictionary.

The books, apart from published copies, will be uploaded to the Internet to help more readers access this abundant source of information.
