Trade Minister Truong Dinh Tuyen was speaking at the Accenta International Trade Fair where Vietnam was invited as the guest country to hold "Vietnamese Days in Belgium."
The Accenta Fair and "Vietnamese Days in Belgium" commenced on September 9 in Ghent, Belgium's East Flandre province, with the participation of Vice Minister-President of the Flandre Region Fientje Moerman, Governor of the East Flandre province André Denys and the Mayor of Ghent.
Vietnamese participants included General Secretary of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Pham Gia Tuc, Ambassador to Belgium Phan Thuy Thanh and a large delegation of businessmen.
The Vice Minister-President of the Flandre Region, Fientje Moerman, warmly welcomed distinguished guests from Vietnam, a country which he said has a high economic growth rate and a hard working population. He expressed confidence that co-operation between the two countries will continue to grow in the future.
During the event, which lasts until September 17, Vietnamese delegates and artists will not only explore business opportunities, but will also introduce their country's traditional and cultural values.
Belgian companies now have 30 investment projects in Vietnam with a combined registered capital of 73 million euros and are keen to invest more in Vietnam.
