Thirty Vietnamese illustrators and writers and three of their Danish counterparts - Sally Altschuler, Tove Krebs Lange and Glenn Ringtved, will visit the central provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh on November 12 for their third Story Express.

On the journey to the three provinces, they will bring various pictures by Danish illustrators to inspire children to write stories based on them and their imagination.

The team members all work on the anthology "A Journey" as part of this year’s Fairytale Express which was successfully held in 2005 and 2006.

”A Journey” is a joint product between Vietnamese and Danish writers and illustrators, in which Danish writers will write the texts while Vietnamese illustrators will make illustrations and vice-versa.

The Fairytale Express was launched in 2005 to mark the 200th birth anniversary of the Danish writer of fairytales, Hans Christian Andersen. It is also part of a programme funded by the Danish Embassy to help develop Vietnamese children’s literature.
