The Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina and the National University of Mar del Plata city have provided an overview of Vietnamese culture for Argentineans by holding jointly-organised meetings, an exhibition of Dong Ho folk paintings, film of world-recognised heritage sites in Vietnam, and musical performances on traditional instruments from September 13-15.

Speaking at a meeting at the University of Mar del Plata, which is 400 km to the south of Buenos Aires, Vietnamese Ambassador Thai Van Lung stressed Vietnam's determination to integrate into the world economy. He said Vietnam has pursued an open and independent foreign policy, and desired friendly relations with all countries.


At a meeting with the President of Mar del Plata city's Council, Carlos Yrigoin, Ambassador Lung spoke highly of the encouraging development of the two countries' cooperative efforts and promised to continue to serve as a bridge for further development of their relationship.
