Many traditional fine art and handicraft products and other items depicting Vietnam, its land and people as well as its potential for tourism development are being displaying in the Hague, Holland.

A delegation of 19 Vietnamese artists and crafts people led by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh is in the Netherlands to attend the Pasar Malam Besar fair from May 21-June 1.

This is one of the cultural activities that mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Netherlands.

The artists gave special singing and dancing performances featuring Vietnam’s original and distinctive cultural identities and traditional arts.

The fair provides a good opportunity for Vietnamese artists to introduce the country’s culture and arts, helping people from the Netherlands to get a better understanding of Vietnam, its land and people.

During the fair, Minister Hoang Tuan Anh met with his counterpart in charge of European Affairs and representatives from the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science to discuss measures aimed at boosting bilateral cooperation in culture and arts.
