The opening ceremony of Vietnamese Cultural Days at Moscow universities was held in Moscow on October 19.

Addressing the opening ceremony, the head of the foreign languages department of the Friendship of Ethnic Groups University, Alexandrer Gheor Ghiovic, affirmed that Vietnam has been of great significance to the university both in the past and the present. He spoke highly of the participation of many Vietnamese students from his school and expressed his hope to attend similar activities in future.

 

During the event, eighteen performances will be held to highlight traditional cultural characteristics and unyielding spirit during times of war as well as its current process of national construction.

 

Students from 10 leading universities in Moscow participated in a programme entitled “Vietnam- Past and Present” held at the opening ceremony on October 19 and another progamme “Hello Vietnam” scheduled for October 31.
